- February 03
Wow! You all really came
through for me on February 1st. The CD release
party seems to have been a great success.
I had a blast, the band performed wonderfully,
I sang my songs fine, and the crowd was
receptive and appreciative. It flew by and
I regret that I couldn't visit with everyone
- it was so crowded and busy. I showed up
really nervous, but it passed, with all
the love I was getting from the audience.
Thank you all, so much. Big thanks to Joan
and Richard Abbott for helping me sell CDs
and merchandise. Thanks to the band, most
of whom volunteered to help me that night.
They are truly great players and great people.
Thanks to the Caterie for the room and support.
Emily Branton was fantastic as the opening
act! And my friends, fans, and family -
you're the best.
So now, I've got a lot
of CDs to move. I have plans on getting
them into retail stores very soon. I will
also do some more special appearances, interviews,
written reviews, and probably a New Orleans
release party. I will gig with the big band
again, so look for that. The horn section
was too fun! For now, the CD will be available
at any of my gigs and on my website. You
can write me from the site and order, or
use a credit card with the PayPal option.
That costs you nothing, but the price of
the disc and shipping. I'll be adding merchandise
for sale right away. I have plenty of shirts
and caps.
I'm going to do a couple
of new gigs this month. They are early week.
Check out the Brick House on Monday, Feb.
24th. They have solo/acoustic acts on Mondays.
It is the old Jack Kelly's in Village Square
on College Drive. If it works out, I'll
be doing a regular Tuesday gig at Landry's
Seafood Ya - Ya. That is in the Kenilworth
Shopping Center, on Highland Road, by the
old Giovanni's. Check the schedule page
for more details.
I am recovering from
the stress that the last few weeks before
the CD release took on me. Been a little
lazy for a few days, but I'm getting back
to work now. And, I have to get myself in
Mardi Gras mode! Trying to organize our
float for the Southdowns parade on Feb.
28. I can't thank you all enough, again.
IT'S CARNIVAL TIME!!!
