There’s been no joy in my football season … not yet, anyway.  But, it’s still a fun time of year and I hope we’ll tailgate at LSU once and maybe go to the Dome for a Saints game.  I’m also wishing for at least a taste of an Oktoberfest, at some point.  Not a lot of local choices, except for the one in Kenner at Rivertown, put on by New Orleans’ Deutches Haus.  If we can’t attend, I’m cooking Jagerschnitzel and having some Marzen here at home!  Prost!!

Cooler weather is here and I’m looking forward to the patio at Bin 77 on Wednesdays.  It’s been a great summer there, and I’m sure it’s going to be really busy in the fall.  I’m also outside at Monjuni’s Italian Restaurant on a couple of Fridays.  Brunch continues to excel at Beausoleil Restaurant – nothing but fun and great folks.  The live music going on there on Fridays has also been very well received.  Another outside show for me will be at Satterfield’s Landing on Oct. 17 – part of Harvest Festival weekend.  I’ll have a 5pm show on the dock.

There’s still time to join and contribute to onemanshoot.com’s annual fundraiser/skeet shoot tournament on Oct. 10.  That’s out at Riverside Sporting Clays, 52400 Hwy. 16, Denham Springs, LA and I’ll be providing some tunes and hanging out with my friends.  There’s a huge auction, tons of food, and plenty of ways to enjoy a great time while contributing to prostate cancer research.  Check it out at www.onemanshoot.com

Happy Anniversary to my beautiful wife, Selena!  I love you so much and I’m blessed and lucky to be with you, every day.  We’re going places and having fun, so suck it up, Sunshine!  It’s why we work hard…. so we can play hard!  Here we go, baby – 4 down and who knows how far we’ll go…….

Cheers, friends!
